Course Overview:
The Tactical Shotgun Level 2 Course is designed to build upon the foundational skills acquired in the Level 1 course. This course focuses on advanced techniques and drills to enhance the proficiency and tactical effectiveness of participants in using a shotgun for self-defense or law enforcement purposes. The course will cover various shooting positions, reloading techniques, target engagement at different distances, and tactical movement with a shotgun.
Learning Objectives:
By the end of this course, participants will be able to:
1. Demonstrate advanced shooting techniques with a shotgun, including shooting from various positions and engaging targets at different distances.
2. Perform efficient reloading techniques under stress.
3. Apply tactical movement principles while effectively employing a shotgun.
4. Understand the legal considerations and ethical responsibilities associated with using a shotgun for self-defense or law enforcement purposes.
Class Requirements:
Participants must meet the following requirements before enrolling in the Tactical Shotgun Level 2 Course:.
1. Completion of a recognized Tactical Shotgun Level 1 Course or equivalent training.
2. Proficiency in safe handling and operation of a shotgun.
3. Familiarity with basic shooting fundamentals, including sight alignment, trigger control, and proper stance.
Requirements for Participants:
1. Shotgun: Participants must bring their own shotgun suitable for self-defense or law enforcement purposes. Pump-action or semi-automatic shotguns are recommended.
2. Ammunition: Participants should bring a minimum of 200 rounds of shotgun ammunition, appropriate for their shotgun gauge.
3. Safety Gear: Participants must have the following safety gear:
- Eye protection (shooting glasses).
- Ear protection (earplugs or earmuffs).
- Suitable clothing for outdoor shooting range conditions.
- Closed-toe shoes or boots.
4. Additional Equipment:
- Sling for the shotgun.
- Magazine pouches or shell carriers.
- Flashlight or weapon-mounted light (optional).
5. Valid ID: Participants must present a valid identification document at the beginning of the course.
Required Ammunition:
- Ammunition: Participants should bring a minimum of 250 rounds of shotguns.
Additional Info:
Please bring your own drinks and snacks. There is no lunch break though there will be time for snacks.
