Course Overview:
The Intro to Red Dot Pistol Shooting Level 3 Course is designed for individuals who have already completed the Level 2 course or have equivalent experience with red dot sights on pistols. This course aims to further enhance the participants' skills and knowledge in utilizing red dot sights effectively for self-defense or competitive shooting purposes. The course will cover advanced techniques, drills, and scenarios to develop proficiency and confidence in using red dot pistols
Course Objectives:
By the end of this course, participants will be able to:
1. Demonstrate advanced shooting techniques using a red dot sight-equipped pistol.
2. Apply proper sight alignment and sight picture with a red dot sight.
3. Engage targets accurately and efficiently at various distances using a red dot sight.
4. Perform reloads, malfunction clearances, and other manipulations with a red dot pistol.
5. Employ movement techniques while utilizing a red dot sight for target engagement.
6. Understand the advantages and limitations of red dot sights on pistols.
7. Apply situational awareness and decision-making skills in simulated scenarios.
To enroll in the Intro to Red Dot Pistol Shooting Level 3 Course, participants must meet the following requirements:
1. Completion of the Intro to Red Dot Pistol Shooting Level 2 Course or equivalent experience.
2. Possession of a reliable and functional red dot sight-equipped pistol.
3. Basic understanding of firearm safety rules and safe handling practices.
1. Red Dot Sight-Equipped Pistol:
Participants must bring their own reliable and functional red dot sight-equipped pistol for use during the course. The pistol should be properly maintained, zeroed, and in safe working condition.
2. Ammunition:
Participants are required to bring a sufficient amount of ammunition for the course. A recommended minimum of 400 rounds is suggested to ensure ample practice opportunities.
3. Safety Gear:
All participants must have the following safety gear:
- Eye protection (shooting glasses)
- Ear protection (earmuffs or earplugs)
- Proper attire (closed-toe shoes, comfortable clothing)
4. Basic Understanding of Firearm Safety:
Participants should have a basic understanding of firearm safety rules and safe handling practices. This includes knowledge of how to safely load, unload, and clear malfunctions with their specific pistol.
Required Ammunition:
400 rounds minimum
Additional Info:
Please bring your own drinks and snacks. There is no lunch break though there will be time for snacks.
