This course series is designed to introduce students to the fundamentals of competitive shooting. The course will cover a range of topics, including firearm safety, marksmanship, weapon divisions, competition rules and regulations. Students will have the opportunity to learn from experienced instructors and participate in hands-on training exercises.

 

Course Requirements:

To enroll in this Intro to Competitive  Two Pistol Course, participants must meet the following requirements:

1. Completion of a basic pistol course or equivalent training.
2. Proficiency in safe firearms handling and basic marksmanship skills.
3. A reliable and properly maintained pistol with an appropriate holster.

 

Equipment Requirements:

Participants are required to bring the following equipment to the course:

1. A reliable semi-automatic pistol chambered in an appropriate caliber for self-defense or duty use.
2. A minimum of three magazines or speed loaders.
3. A sturdy belt holster specifically designed for your pistol model.
4. Eye and ear protection (electronic hearing protection is recommended).
5. Ammunition (400-500 rounds).
6. 2 Magazine belt holders


The course will begin with an overview of firearm safety, including proper handling and storage techniques. Students will also learn about the different types of firearms commonly used in competitive shooting, including pistols, rifles, and shotguns. 

The course will also cover competition rules and regulations for various shooting disciplines, such as USPSA (United States Practical Shooting Association), IDPA (International Defensive Pistol Association), and NRA (National Rifle Association) competitions. Students will learn about scoring systems, match procedures, and equipment requirements for each discipline.

Throughout the course series, students will have the opportunity to participate in simulated competitions to apply their skills and knowledge in a competitive setting. 

250-400 rounds minimum

Please bring your own drinks and snacks. There is no lunch break though there will be time for snacks.
